Music Magazine - Double Page Spread 1st Draft

I like the picture used in my DPS as I think that it is very eye-catching and unique to the reader. The image does transfer onto the other page via the material of the dress, and I think that I could shape the text round this piece of material. The border above and below the text is also something I like as I think that it looks quite professional and manages to show a clear distinguish between the top and bottom of the article. The name above the border is something that I think could be improved as it is slightly cut off so it could be moved down slightly. I like the use of my title, date and page number in the bottom of the magazine as I think it clearly links the magazine together. The article itself is quite heavy and I think to improve this I could add a quotation somewhere and make this bigger so that it is not as text heavy. Whilst there are some elements of my magazine which link to my front cover, the pink text does not so I would have to edit this in order to make everything link together  properly.

Music Magazine - Contents Page 1st Draft

This is my completed contents page. I like the red title bar at the top of the page as I think that it is effective and manages to link to the red theme on the front cover of my magazine. The red bar at the bottom and the red of the text also helps with this.The text itself is one that I will have to change as I do not think that it looks professional enough for my contents page. I like the positioning of the pictures as I think that it links together quite well, and think that I have chosen appropriate pictures for the contents page. There is also too much of a gap between the red bar at the bottom and the end of the text. I like the use of the black bars between the the text as I think it clearly separates each feature of the magazine.

Music Magazine - Front Cover 1st Draft

This is the first draft of my magazine cover. I chose to have a red, black and white theme in order to fit with the target audience of my magazine. The picture I chose for the cover as I think that it is the picture that suits the target audience as the model gives off and indie/rocky vibe with her make-up and outfit. I used the colour red of the font in order to match the red of the model's belt and lips so that that cover would flow more together. However, I think that this red possibly clashes with the red of the magazine title at the top-left, so I would change this red in order to make it flow even more. I think the text I have chosen to use as well needs to be changed as it is not interesting enough to grab the reader's attention. I also think that more text could be added to in order to fill up the gaps on the magazine. I do like the banner at the bottom of the cover as I think that it looks professional and suits the style I wish to go for with my magazine.
