School Magazine - Completed Front Cover

To create my front cover, I used the programme InDesign.

This shows the insertion of my picture on InDesign.

This shows that I have inserted my school magazine title onto my front cover.

This shows that I have inserted titles, a barcode, date, price and issue number.

This is my finished front cover:

For my magazine cover, I decided to focus on GCSE drama pupils success in their subject I decide to focus the whole issue on everything arty, such as art, music and performing arts.

The main picture on my magazine front cover is the single picture of a model looking over her shoulder. I chose this picture because I think the model really suits the drama focus of the magazine. I think the picture is quite simple but effectively eye-catching to the reader due to the contrast between the model's dark coloured clothes to the light coloured. The text I chose to use on my front cover is 'Gills Sand Bold'. I chose to use this type of font as I think it suits the school magazine target audience of students and also goes well with the style of the school magazine title. The colour of most of the text is black with the word 'arty' being orange, which helps to emphasise to the reader about what the magazine is about. The text ranges in different sizes, with the actual focus of the magazine being in a bigger size text. I have also included basic information of a bar-code, price, date and issue number on the magazine.
