For the first photo shoot for
my school magazine, I decided to focus on an art pupil with their work. I chose the background because it is bright and colourful which makes it eye-catching but also because it shows off the artists skills in drawing.
Whilst I like the idea of
this focus of the cover of looking at art through an artists perspective, it
does not include the front of a person and is therefore not able to be used as
a front cover
I like this picture as I think the background contrasts well with the model, however the picture is landscape instead of horizontal and there is not enough of the model to see.
This picture is one which I
think would work very well for the front cover of the magazine as I think the
picture is shown very well and the model looks very appropriate for the focus of
the piece. If I was to re-shoot this picture, then I would show more of the
model's body and more of the background.
Out of all
the pictures I took, this one is my favourite. I think this one shows the
artwork off the best and captures the model's arty side but also the pride in
their work. If I was to re-shot this picture, then I would show more of the
model's body and only let the picture take up the whole background.
For a complicated subject like this you would need to take more photographs. Also I think you suffer because you have not fully researched how this type of photograph is to be done.
